Ordained

Last night was a special night at church for our family. Chad was ordained as a deacon. I was really nervous about the service last night and became more so when we found out the children were supposed to sit on the front pew with us. If anyone knows my children, sitting still during a service for an hour would take nothing short of a miracle. I am proud to say they did really well. Logan asked if the deacons were trying to wake Daddy up while they were praying for him. He also thought the voice over the microphone was Jesus so we had a little comedy in the mix. Overall, it was a very emotional service especially when Chad gave his testimony. I have posted a couple of pictures below.

Congratulations to Chad. Many do not realize the big responsibility this is for someone. This is truly a calling from God. I pray God's blessings and safety for your family. I pray he bless each of you in the days ahead.

I am so proud for Chad! It sounds like everything went great. I love the question about Jesus from Logan.

That is cool! What all do they have to do as a decon? I did grow up in a baptist church and heard people called decons, but never really knew what they were. Congratulations! Your pictures are beautiful!

That is wonderful!!!! I would love to hear Chad's testimony. Maybe Chad can blog his testimony. It sounds like your miracle came true during church. :)
