Happy Birthday Logan!

My sweet boy turns 6 years old Friday. Six years ago at 7:59 p.m. he made me a mommy. I am so thankful for every day I have with him. In the last year he has grown and changed so much. I can really tell my little boy is growing up. He has already read 60 books this year. He can write sentences and do math problems. He loves his dogs and his sister.

Adopt a Shelter Pet

I want to introduce you to our adopted sweetheart Shelby. She is a 6 month old lab/bloodhound mix. She was rescued from a "kill shelter" by a rescue group. They had her along with other dogs at Petco Saturday to be adopted. Once you looked in her sweet eyes, you couldn't say no. Now we are a 3 dog family and I must avoid Petco on future adoption days or we are going to end up with a zoo.

Valentine Surprise

The kids were thrilled to receive Valentine cards from Granny and Papa with McDonald gift cards. Thanks Granny and Papa!

Our Snowman

We had a hard time making our Snowman last week. He ended up being short and stocky. I had to get creative with his face so he has a candycane nose and ritz cracker eyes. The dogs really appreciated this detail.

What to do when you are snowed in...

Go to the mall and play on the playground.





We are all stir crazy from all of the snow days so we went to the mall early Saturday to play on the playground. The kids loved it and pretty much had the playground to themselves.
