This has been quite an eventful weekend. First, I am very thankful for God's protection. I know he has angels around us keeping us safe. He gave us clear examples this weekend.
Friday, Chad was in a car accident on I-40. Another car came into his lane and hit him causing him to spin around and hit another car. His truck is totaled but Chad walked away without a scratch even though the air bag never deployed.
Friday night we were visiting my parents. The kids were running around in the backyard when my mom saw a snake slither by. Thank goodness I was holding Laney and Logan was on the other side of the yard. They had been playing earlier in that same spot.
I am so thankful God watches out for us...

One more thing..
Okay, I don't want to get in trouble with copyrights. The picture on my blog was taken by Vernon with Posh Foto www.posh-foto.com. This was just a sample. I can't wait to see the rest of the pictures. You should check out his work.
The Best Part of my Day
The best part of my day is walking through the door and seeing my two precious children. They run to me saying "mama, mama". I can tell they are truly happy to see me. I have to wonder how long this will last but for this moment in time it is wonderful.
I often think how different life is for my kids. My mom was a stay at home mom so she was just always there. I think maybe I took that for granted. My children seem to treasure the time we spend together. I wish I had more time to spend with the children but I believe the time we have together is quality.
I also believe my marriage is stronger because of my choice to work. Chad and I are now partners totally responsible for raising these kids to be well-adjusted hopefully successful adults. We participate equally in the chores, the childcare, and earning the family income.
Okay, this was random but I am curious to hear others' thoughts on the topic of working moms.

Pictures of the kids
I can't wait to post the latest pictures of the kids. We had pictures done Sunday afternoon. I think they will be awesome. The Photographer is very creative. They were all done outside. Laney had quite a tantrum by the end but I think the pictures will be great.
Speaking of Baby Laney, she is parting ways with her "Pappy" (pacifier) this week. The Doctor told me to do it by 18 months. She will be 18 months in 2 weeks. I finally cut the ends of them off and told her they were broke. Now she picks them up and stares with this innocent look. Life is so tough...
Logan participated in the Trike-a-thon to raise money for St. Jude's. I was so proud of him. I tried to explain that he was helping sick babies. He seemed a little confused as to how riding his tricycle was helping sick babies. He looked at me and said, "Don't worry Mama. I won't run over the sick babies."

New Blog
I am really excited about starting my very own blog. I have been inspired by several friends to start this. I am hoping this will be a great way of sharing information with everyone. I am so not creative so please give me ideas on improving my layout.
